The Story

'Ruminat' translated from Latin means "Chews", and this wine packs a lot in mouthfeel and on the palate - as primitivo should. Also derived from Ruminant, the family comprised of cattle, sheep, giraffe, and the gorgeous deer on the bottle, there is a silent austerity to this wine. Cantina Orsogna has managed to cultivate the true elements of this varietal, a mainstay on the dinner table, whilst staying true to the beauty of its terroir.

 

The Character

Tasting Notes Bright ruby red color, in the nose plums, carobs, cherries. The palate is warm, fairly tannic, intense, with a red fruit jam finish.
